Half of NANN’s advance practice registered nurse (APRN) members are neonatal nurse practitioners (NNPs), and more than a quarter are registered nurses certified in neonatal intensive care (RNC-NIC).

NICU Level

Most of NANN’s members practice in Level II NICUs that provide critical care for babies born prematurely and babies that require surgery or other specialized care.
