Get Involved

How will you help NANN make a difference for neonatal nurses, patients, and their families? NANN members have several opportunities to support the neonatal nurse community, while networking and connecting with colleagues.

Serve as a leader of the association

The NANN Board of Directors and NANNP Council have an integral role in the NANN community as they help advance the association's strategic initiatives. Members who are interested in serving in a leadership position are invited to apply for an open spot on the NANN Board of Directors or NANNP Council during our annual Call for Nominations.

The 2022 Call for Nominations closed on April 14, 2022.

Share your time and talents through one of our volunteer opportunities

We encourage NANN members to take your volunteerism outside the walls of your NICU! We offer various ways to share your time and talents in big and small ways; whatever fits into your life. Committee offerings vary by year, but may be available in one of the following areas:

  • Annual Conference Committee
  • Awards Selection Task Force
  • Membership Committee
  • NANN Footprints: Stories from the NICU Author
  • NANN Nominations Committee
  • NANNP Nominations Committee
  • NNP Excellence Awards Task Force
  • Small Grants Committee

The 2022 Call for Volunteers is now closed.

Mingle with your peers at NANN Connections

NANN will be hosting different virtual social events throughout the year that provide neonatal nurses and APRNs with a space to connect, network, and grow with their peers. Join us for one of our upcoming events!

Lend your voice to our MyNANN community forum

Connect with fellow neonatal nurses, nurse practitioners, and clinical nurse specialists through NANN's exclusive community forums. Members discuss protocols, best practices, and the latest in neonatal news with nurses from all over the world.

Grow your local connections through chapter membership

NANN's chapters serve more than 2,000 members at the grassroots level. With a presence in over thirty states and opportunities for members in areas such as advocacy, continuing education, and professional development, chapters provide unique opportunities to deepen your involvement in the neonatal nurse community.

Focus on your passions with special interest groups

NANN's special interest groups (SIGs) provide forums that allow members with similar interests and challenges to easily interact and share experiences and resources.

These opportunities are for NANN members. To learn more about becoming a NANN member, visit our membership page
